Rui is an Educational Psychologist (ISPA-IUL, PT), MSc in Community Intervention and Child Protection (ISCTE-IUL, PT), certified in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (Cornell University / Green Chimneys Children's Services, USA) and in Residential Child and Youth Care (University of Oklahoma OutReach, USA).

In schools, he has worked as a school psychologist and coordinated psychology, special education, and social services. In residential care, he worked as a carer and manager, in Portugal and the United States of America. He has several texts published in scientific journals and chapters of speciality books (*).

Enthusiast of reflective practices and professional and organizational development, Rui provides training, supervision and consultancy services since 2008. Namely:
